We have an incredible team here at Hidden Acre Farm and we have had a position open up mid-season. Hidden Acre Farm is a family business and we strive to create an enjoyable working environment where our team members can grow personally and professionally while helping Hidden Acre Farm meet our fiscal, environmental, and social goals for the year. Please be under no illusions; farming is exceptionally hard work, though it has the potential to be incredibly rewarding.

Past vegetable and/ or flower farming experience of at least one season or at least one season of outdoor physical work experience (such as building, landscaping, trail work, etc) is preferred. Ability to commit to Fridays plus 1-2 other weekdays.

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

● Veg and flower farming experience preferred / outdoor work experience required

● Able to lift 50 lbs and be physically fit

● Interest in organic, intensive, and sustainable growing practices

● Enthusiasm, open-mindedness, positive attitude

● Ability to communicate in English

● Able to work in all weather conditions (heat, rain, cold)

● Able to be on feet and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods

● Attention to detail, ability to follow directions closely, and good work ethic

● Can commit for the remainder of the season

SCHEDULE AND COMPENSATION

We work an 8-hour day, though there may be longer days during the peak of the season and we will shift our hours earlier during high summer. Hourly pay is $17 - $20 DOE plus an annual bonus (upon completion of the season) and vegetables and flowers from the farm. We are unable to provide housing or transportation at this time so those with reliable transport who live locally are encouraged to apply.
