What

CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture. By purchasing a CSA you become part of a community that is directly supporting your local economy and playing a crucial part in healthy, organic and regenerative agriculture. You are investing in young farmers, the environment and your local food economy.

Why

Local food not only tastes better but it is better for you! You will be picking up organic veggies less than 24 hours from harvest (usually same day). You will be taking home a vibrant, organic and seasonal selection of the best veggies on the farm. We grow staples you are used to as well as varieties you won’t find in the supermarket. CSA members get the first harvest of all of our veggies as well as the option to purchase extras week by week. You will see your farmers and the farm where your food is grown every week. Feel free to chat to us about all farmy things and take a stroll around the fields when you pick up your veggies.

How

Club members pay for their share upfront (or split into two equal payments) which helps us get the season running without going into debt. CSA membership payments help us buy seeds, equipment and pay fair wages to our small but growing crew. The CSA relationship is one based on trust, a trust in your farmers and knowing exactly where your food comes from as well as knowing your food dollar directly supports the farm.

Whats in my Share?

We’re very excited about our crop plan for the 2021 season and where we are growing many more crop types and varietals than last year. The following is a broad overview of our crop plan. Diversity is key to our growing practices, so we grow at least three types of each vegetable listed. This year is particularly exciting because we are adding a new trials garden to the farm, where we’ll trial new and interesting varieties for seed saving and or breeding. The successful fruits of the trial garden will go to our CSA community.
